Researching for LGBTQ Health
A study that’s being conducted in Ontario, Canada about the context of mental health for bisexual identified people living in Ontario. The research team is also comprised of bisexual identified individuals. Check it out!
hello lovely followers
my name is julia and I’m a new mod here. i’m a 21 year old student finishing the last year of my undergrad in film and gender studies. i love cats and movies and talking about sexuality. come talk to me and let’s be friends :)
for those who are interested, here is my personal blog wescareourselves.tumblr.com
Also, please keep in mind that I intend that this blog will stick to being a friendly place for non-monosexual queers of all stripes to get advice. New mods MUST NOT be transphobic, racist, sexist, ableist, queerphobic (obviously), or any other such thing. You don’t have to identify as bisexual, but given the nature of this blog I’d like to keep it to non-monosexual queers. People who identify as PoC/trans*/disabled/some combination thereof will be given special consideration.
Hey y’all, I’ve gotten a lot of messages looking to co-mod on this blog. If you’re still interested, message me within the next 24 hours. Sorry about this blog being basically dead for a while. Depression sucks. :(
I’ll reconsider the issue after the holidays, though.
I’ll answer the remaining questions on my ride home fyi.
On another note, if anyone is interested in becoming a second mod on this blog, send me a message. I really am hard pressed to find time for it lately.

Alright, here’s what’s up.
I am a second year law student. I volunteer my time for this. Lately, I have been writing a very involved scholarly paper on a very new LGBT legal issue. I have to write this paper to graduate. I am going to be in massive student debt because of my schooling, so I have to give it my best shot. I don’t have any other mods here to help me out with this blog. There aren’t very many blogs just for bisexuals anyway. I have finals in a week. You aren’t entitled to my time. It sure was wonderful logging on for the first time in a while to see this. I’ll answer questions when I have time to do so.

Ugh, I got a similar reaction when coming out to my mom. She wanted to know how I could be bi if I have a boyfriend. Sigh.
Anonymous said: Well I've assumed myself as bi this year and I took some months to tell it to some clothes friends. For drinking reasons I ended up kissing them and since everybody was drunk no harm done, but now I think they are kind of avoiding me. They talk to me as always but no physical contact or idk its just seems weird, maybe its something from my head. I just needed to vent, they might read it if I post it on my tumblr, thank you for listening :) (not really an ask sorry)
Hey anon, no need to apologize. I’m happy to be a sounding board.
Anonymous said: CONTINUED - Its saddening how many people I've heard say 'oh your really either gay or straight there is no in between'. People these days seem so adamant about gay pride, but write off bisexuality as 'a phase'. Sorry for the rant and i know this wasnt really a question but I saw the name of your blog which made me think 'thank God someone else knows what I mean!' and I just had to say that. Thanks for reading :) xo
Thanks anon! I would definitely agree with you. No need to apologize, I’m happy to be a sounding board as well.
